Making new words by adding an ‘S’ Scrabble™ and it’s derivatives are very popular word games. When playing one of these games, If you have an “S” in your rack, often you can add this to the end of an existing word, pluralizing it, and using the “S” as part of your new word. Sometimes, the word you want to append already has an “S” on the end (either because it’s already a plural, or because it just ends that way), and when this happens, adding the “S” on the end turns the word into a totally different word. For example, if you add an extra S the word BRAS the results is BRASS. I managed to find 73 words that end with the letter “S”, such that, when you add another “S”, it changes the word into something entirely different. |
